BUILD META · 0.5 RUNES OF ALDUR

Are minions good in 0.5?

Short answer: yes. Traditional minion builds got buffed. But the popular Infernal Legion combo took a heavy nerf, so the skeleton / Minion-Army route is the stronger summoner pick in 0.5.

01 Minions got buffed

  • Traditional skeleton/minion builds clear roughly 2–3× faster.
  • A new Minion Splash support lets melee minions hit multiple enemies.
  • New minion modifiers were added to rings and belts, plus better companion scaling and survivability.

02 Infernal Legion got hit hard

Infernal Legion had its burn cut from 20% to 10% of minion maximum life and its ignite radius halved, roughly a two-thirds damage cut. Most community lists call it no longer the easy default; some players still run it paired with a high-level Tame Beast, but it’s an advanced/niche pick now rather than the casual summoner starter it used to be.

⚠ The meta is still settling. This reflects GGG’s 0.5 notes + early consensus. For the live verdict and a specific build to start, see our tier list or the Build Picker.
